Small Business Administration (SBA) Certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB)

Stiletto Agency is a SBA Certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB).

How We Got This Certification

We were able to achieve this certification by meeting the following criteria laid out by the SBA:

  • Be a small business according to SBA standards
  • Be at least 51% owned and controlled by women who are U.S. citizens
  • Have women manage day-to-day operations and make long-term decisions.

What This Means for Stiletto Agency

Being a WOSB is an exciting achievement for us for several reasons. In addition to the unbeatable feeling of female empowerment in the workplace, this certification provides many benefits, including, but not limited to the following.

  • The federal government limits competition for certain contracts to businesses that take part in the WOSB Program—and these contracts are industries where WOSBs are underrepresented.
  • Getting certified as a WOSB Federal Contract Program participant qualifies our agency to compete for federal contracts set aside for the program.
  • Our agency can also support Prime contractors to help deliver on a larger project where our services are required.

Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) Certification

Stiletto is a certified WBE. We’ve been granted this certification both through the state of Indiana, as well as through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC): the most widely recognized and respected national certification for women-owned businesses in the country.

Additionally, WBENC is an approved third-party certifier for the SBA WOSB Program.

How We Got This Certification

Through both state and the WBENC, we were able to qualify for this certification by meeting the following requirements:

  • We are a for-profit business located in the United States
  • We are 51% owned by a woman (or a group of women) who contributed a proportionate amount of capital to gain ownership
  • Our governing board is controlled by a woman (or a group of women)
  • A woman is responsible for daily operations with experience in the agency’s primary business activity
  • Our business owners are U.S. Citizens and/or legal residents.

What This Means for Stiletto Agency

Through this certification, we gain:

  • access to a network of support
  • increased visibility in corporate and government supply chains
  • access to education and development programs to spur growth and increase capacity
  • networking and mentorship opportunities with thousands of women entrepreneurs and their supporters.

These achievements are a remarkable milestone for us, motivating us to continue improving our services.
